Cement (Concrete) Finisher Apprenticeship
Concrete Finishing is a voluntary trade previously governed by the Trades Qualification and Apprenticeship Act (old Reg 1046). Our trade work is now governed by the new Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act.
The CFLRA participates on the Ontario College of Trades [OCOT] “Concrete Finisher Trade Board” [CFTB] through appointed representatives. Minutes from these meetings are available at the Ontario College of Trades website HERE.
The OCOT Concrete Finisher Trade Board has made application to join the national Red-Seal program for Concrete Finishers in Ontario (just
like BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Quebec, New Brunswick, PEI, Nova Scotia & Newfoundland). A national occupational analysis for our trade is scheduled for 2016 (details TBA). Please contact the CFLRA if you are interested in getting involved.
